More Tony Moly Egg Pore

Previously I talked about how much I loved Tony Moly's Egg Pore Shiny Skin Soap Duo.  I mean that was back in January, and believe it or not it still hasn't ran out!  I'm still loving the results on my skin, even with the stress/illness caused breakout I'm enduring at the moment.  I fear that this could have been a hell of alot worse, you know....

But enough of that, thanks to my brother, I've had the opportunity to try before I buy the Egg Pore Blackhead Out Oil Gel and Tightening Pack.

So without further ado...

Le products yo.

BLACKHEAD OUT OIL GEL

I kind of 'screwed up' this review by washing with my egg pore white soap beforehand - I mean there really wasn't alot of work for this gel to do.  There were a couple of stubborn clogged pores though so I was interested in how it would do on these.

Basically you just apply this to your skin, massage for approximately 5 minutes (it's meant to turn a milky color), then rinse off with lukewarm water.  After about 3 minutes I was kind of over massaging this in.  I am not an overly patient person when it comes to this kind of thing, but I persevered.... and finally after rinsing.... NO CHANGE.

Seriously.  Maybe it's because I had already cleansed well with the soap, I'm pretty sure, but it didn't even budge those couple of pores.  So I just went on in afterward and removed those manually with the old hot facecloth trick.

So basically I'm not overly impressed with this product.  My brother also remarked he felt that the soap duo does a better job of getting those pores clean and removing blackheads.  Guess I won't be buying this one for myself then.

TIGHTENING PACK

My first thoughts on this is that with its thick, clay-like texture you don't get a hell of alot of product for what you're buying.  That said once I started applying this I realized a little really does go a long way.  That was a pleasant surprise.  I'm not overly into the scent of this product.  It's kind of hard to describe - almost lemony?  Odd.  I did however like the texture and the way this mask felt on my skin.

You're meant to apply this to your affected areas, wait 10-15 minutes for it to dry completely then rinse off with lukewarm water.

I applied all over my T-zone, then liked it so much patted it over my cheeks to test out it's tightening skills.  Then I started watching an 80s music countdown and lost track of time - 25 minutes later lol....

My skin actually felt alot smoother and firmer after use.  Where I had used on my cheeks I noticed a slightly toned appearance, but as for minimizing and tightening up those pores?  Well I'm on the fence on this one - while it firmed up my skin and reduced the appearance, I could definitely tell it hadn't magically shrunk the open pores on my nose.  But you know what?  I just splashed my face with cold water for a bit patted dry and it seemed to make everything look a little better.  So I definitely suggest doing that after removing this mask.

I would buy this mask, but I'm not in a rush to do so.  I feel it is a nice product for firming up your skin, it's not a miracle worker.  I think that using this a few times a week along side the soap duo would be a really beneficial regime for anyone looking to reduce clogged, large pores, and slight acne issues.
