...Sup? Nope, that gentleman above with bags of swag is not me two weeks into my vampire based nighttime skincare regime. However I can report I have not spontaneously sprouted nosferatu ears, thank god.
Two weeks into using LadyKin's Vanpir Dark range I am happy to report I've had no adverse reactions. I have been hoping to see a bit more improvement to my fine lines and wrinkles, but alas I can see no dramatic changes there. I have seen some pretty interesting results with my acne scars and pigmentation though. The red spots I usually get stuck with seem to be fading alot faster than usual. I did mention previously I'd post some pics but there hasn't been that much of a marked difference, so instead I'll complete my one month trial. Well in two weeks time I will be posting my one month before & after pictures - updates to follow!
Recently I undertook a bit of a cleanout of my skincare & cosmetics. Unlike bottom of the bottle type posts, these are products I've found nothing but fail with or have expired as I haven't really used them on a regular basis (so kinda fails then!). I find it's great to do this on a seasonal basis, but I don't usually post about it. This time I thought I'd share as I dumped quite a bit!
NSpa Coconut Body Mist: Smells really like chemical coconuts. I ended up using this as a toilet spray for a while, but it was too strong for that as well!
The Saem Eco Soul CC Cream: Love the formulation but the shade is far too light.
Maybelline Dream Wonder Foundation: The formulation of this is really light but I found that it sticks to every single dry patch on my face. Not cool.
Garnier Perfect Blur: Not a great primer for my skin. Silicone based and I find it balls under my base makeup.
Covergirl Cheekers Rose Silk Blush: I actually quite like this shade but the shimmer doesn't work well for everyday use. It's ended up expiring on me.
Napoleon Purple Loose Shadow(?): The label is lost :( I was given this by a friend but find the shimmery lilac color just does not work for me.
Maybelline Super Stay 14HR Lipstick Infinitely Fuschia: God the formulation on this shade just sucks! I have a Coral shade too and I find it applies and wears so much better. This shade just seems grainy and drying.
Lime Crime Countessa Flourescent Lipstick: Do not like the formulation. It's a fantastic shade (which is the reason I bought it in the first place) but wears far too dry for me.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo: Too drying!
Tony Moly Lip Tint Sample: Out as the formula dried out in the bottle. I was scared of using this and just put it aside LOL.
Some eye products, I just didn't like nearly all of these but I will comment on Etude House's Color My Brows as I actually did like this but the shade is just far too coppery to go with my new blonde hair!
Nella Fantasia Oneday Whitener & Tony Moly Panda's Dream Whitening Cream: Both of these are out simply because I rarely use whitening creams. I ended up keeping the one whitening cream of these three recieved in beauty boxes from Daltokki aqs it's formulation wasn't too thick. Tony Moly was way too thick, Oneday too thin.
Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly Starter: I wanted to love this, I really did. It gave such a pretty and almost holographic sheen to my skin. And then broke me out. Gone.
Tony Moly Luminous Goddess Aura Beam: Too sticky. I found it similar to Etude House's Volumer which I also am not a fan of.
The Models Prefer one is just a throw away neutral palette. I'm not big on neutrals - especially browns on browns so I decided to not hold onto it.
Revlon Custom Eyes Palettes: All fail for me. These look so pretty, but foolishly I did not read any reviews before picking these up on sale - FAIL. Not enough payoff, too much fallout. Just not cool.
As you can see I've made plenty of room for my Summer Stockup in November/December!
